When I was young I remember my mother carried a key chain on her purse that had little red and black seeds attached to little elephant charms. She told me that they bring you good fortune and ward off the evil eye and were called Huayruro (why • ru• do) or Ormosia seeds known commonly as lucky seeds. They even resembled little lady bugs.  Later on in life I began to find them every where or perhaps as someone once said to me they were finding me. And ever since, I’ve collected them and given them out to people I cared for and eventually anyone who crossed paths with me so the seeds could bring them good luck and protection…Â
